Hyldr

Gothic Doom Metal from Belgium

Feel the dead slither through your bones with Hyldr’s first gothic metal album “Order of the Mist”, now physically available and including a new bonus song.
A melodic journey into Viking/Yokai territory guided by the haunting voice of Lady IX.

Most of the music of ‘Order of the mist’ was composed before the first rehearsals of HYLDR by VI (guitars). When he met the singer he was eager to hear what Lady IX would do with it.

As if by synesthesia, the intricate melodies transformed into grandiose metal operas, weaving captivating narratives inspired by ancient folklore.

These enchanting tales revolve around a young otherworldly girl from Hokkaido, ensnared in a treacherous realm of Norse mythology. Together, they form a narrative compass that guides each and every song on the album.

The album’s title alludes to the rulers of the underworld in Nebelwood Forest, where the enigmatic shape-shifting Huldra folk possess the ability to resurrect the deceased. This secretive and occult order adeptly employs the mist to manipulate the realms of humanity, compelling them to engage in an eternal and unrelenting battle.
